Dan Smith won the Dremel last month.
This month *Free picking for shop tools will be available for you to pick through. (Panasonic drill withbatteries; drill bits; sandpaper; nails; mat cutter; electric drill with bits, tool boxes etc.) We will draw names as to who goes first. Allow you to pick one item each and sit until it is your turn again. Any tool left will be donated to Habitat for Humanity. (Tools were donated by Tom Harris, Lawrence Jefferson estate)
Do not forget the SOUTHEASTERN WOOD CARVING SCHOOL.
Location and Schedule: This year’sSchool will be held July 8-10, 2016 at the Wetumpka Civic Center (410 South Main Street; Wetumpka, AL). If you have any questions ask Gail Holland at the meeting.

PROGRAM FOR JUNE 14TH SHARPENING AND BASIC WOODCARVING CUTS
Carmen & Dave: Scary sharp system
Lamar: ceiling fan sharpener; Dock Yard sharpener with Dremel tool; Diamond stone; web links
Jerry Blake: drill sharpener technique ; belt drive technique
Doug & Laveta: share wire brush with strop; shoe brush; Walmart brush; brush & pan; dental brush; etc.
Bill Goff: vice tool; Harbor Freight light small motor
Jim LeClaire: sharpening techniques with Harbor Freight light small motor
Gerry Johnson: share sharpener Techniques; basic woodcarving cuts & handouts; “hands on sharpening” members will have an opportunity to sharpen their own knives with the help of demonstrators.
We will start with one knife each so everyone will have a chance.
If time permits we will work on more knives.
*Bring your SCARY SHARP GLASS to the meeting and a knife or two that needs sharpening. If you do not have scary sharp glass, we will provide one for you.
