Tim Mitchell will print your shirts (so bring them in) with the ATLANTA WOODCARVERS CLUB name for just the front pocket $3.00 or just the back of your shirt $5.00; or both sides for $8.00 total. Cotton is preferred in any color you will provide.
Please enter applications of your woodcarvings to the National Georgia Fair before the end of August. Doug McKittrick will talk about this at our August 9th meeting.
NEED A VOLUNTEER TO HEAD HOLIDAY DINNER COMMITTEE. Need more people to help. Signup sheet will be passed.

AUGUST PROGRAM: CARVING IN THE ROUND, a furry animal. The furry animal you carve will be used in October to learn how to burn fur. A choice of Polar Bear (holiday ornament) or Cane topper from brasswood egg (tiger, cat, dog, or you may have another something in mind.)
SEPTEMBER PROGRAM: We plan to have a number of painting teachers you can observe or participate with. We will provide you a small holiday ornament rough-out to be painted.
OCTOBER PROGRAM: Learning to burn fur on your carved animal – Gina Gipson. Bring your burning tool. Our club has one to lend.
NOVEMBER PROGRAM: Double Holiday Elf – Lynn Petkas
DECEMBER PROGRAM: Holiday Dinner
